What are BLACK FRIDAY & CYBER MONDAY Deals ? HOW TO SAVE MONEY

What are BLACK FRIDAY & CYBER MONDAY?

While most of the bloggers, internet marketers and online influencers will know about this, there are still quite a few people who are newbies to the Blogging world who probably haven’t heard the terms “Cyber Monday” and ”Black Friday” before. Even if they have, they may not know what it is all about.

ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN!

BLACK FRIDAY

Black Friday is widely globally recognized as the day following Thanksgiving Day in the USA, or simply the fourth Thursday of November. The first ever Black Friday event was officially held in 1952 and since then it has been regarded as the “Beginning of the Christmas shopping season” in the USA.

This is one of the few days of the years when most major retailers open very early and more recently during overnight hours and offer exclusive and compelling promotional sales for customers. The event this year will be held on November 24, 2017.

Black Friday is officially registered as a holiday for state government employees for states like Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Over the years, especially since the 1990s, Black Friday has been touted as being one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

CYBER MONDAY

Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the USA. “Cyber Monday” itself can be called as a mega one day event and was created by marketing companies to persuade people to shop online. Yes! The deals on Cyber Monday are ONLINE ONLY. Hence the term “Cyber” is used.

The term was coined by Ellen Davis and Scott Silverman and the first ever Cyber Monday was held on November 28, 2005. The event for this year is going to be held on November 27, 2017. The aim of this one day online event is to empower small and medium retailers to promote the deals and offers generally offered by smaller retailers that cannot compete with the big retailers.

The event has been a major success since the past decade and around 80 percent of online retailers said that their sales increased substantially on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Once it gained prominence, a Shop.org press release touted Cyber Monday as quickly becoming “One of the biggest online shopping days of the Year”.

SUCCESS & IMPORTANCE

Black Friday and Cyber Monday have been highly profitable shopping days for both retailers and customers for a combination of reasons.

Black Friday marks the unofficial beginning of the Christmas shopping season, as it is the first day after the last major holiday before Christmas. While Cyber Monday further adds up to the delight as it is efficiently placed 3 days after Black Friday, thus making the entire weekend, a full-fledged shopping bonanza for customers.

Additionally, a large number of employers give their employees the day off, as part of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Hence, virtually all retailers in the country, big and small in order to take advantage of this, offer various sales and deals including limited amounts of doorbuster/doorcrasher/doorsmasher items to attract heavy traffic.

BLACK FRIDAY & CYBER MONDAY: Shopping offers and tips

When it comes to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it is nothing less than a fanfare extravaganza for online influencers, bloggers and internet marketers. The event itself holds for you numerous offers and compelling deals to choose from.

In fact, you may just end up buying things some times, that you really don’t need. • Buy 1 Shared Hosting in your Budget [ I recommend Bluehost ]
  • Buy 1-2 Domains for your New sites [ I recommend Godaddy]
  • Buy a Theme if neccessary [ I recommend Elegant Themes]
  • Grab a Udemy Course to add more knowledge to your skills

I would strongly suggest you not to spend more on tools as they are not very much required for new bloggers. I would rather recommend you should start with manual works. Try “Udemy” courses (Paid or Free) to learn how things work.
