Semrush over Ahrefs

I have been using both for a long time. It’s been quite clear to say that Semrush now has way better backlinks data than Ahrefs… in the majority of cases, Semrush beats Ahrefs with their improved backlinks database 👍

I’ve found Semrush a LOT more accurate for keywords and search traffic. Find a few websites for sale, and then search traffic for them on both tools - you’ll see what I mean.

I just went through the discovery process with free trials for both Semrush and Ahrefs and Semrush just had more to offer especially with their tools for social media, which helped me to consolidate my SEO, SEM and social media software into one.

I just switched from Ahrefs to Semrush. It allowed me to cancel a few services with what all it provides, so saving money. I am liking it. Also, found a few things I didn’t see with the other tools.

When I compare Semrush & Ahrefs against projects I have Google Analytics access to, Semrush is always more accurate. We can only flex publicly available data, so Semrush means bigger graphs.

I just moved from Ahrefs to Semrush, simply because Semrush let me get stuff started for free, and then when I needed the insights, half my stuff was in there already.

Working with senior level marketers, I can’t use any of the visuals from Ahrefs. They add vastly more confusion than clarity. If I have to make my own graphs of your graphs, that’s a miss for me.
