In this article, we will discuss Hands Off Publishing Review 2024

One thing every business needs is content. But good content isn’t cheap or easily accessible.

It’s time to start scaling my websites, so I’ve been on the hunt to find a good content writing service that provides great quality without my breaking my bank.

Hands Off Publishing Review

I’ve found one writing agency that’s really impressed me these last few months, and it’s time I tell you more about them.

Today, I’m going to provide you with an in-depth review of Hands Off Publishing with no biases, addressing all the pros and cons and my personal experience using them.

Hands Off Publishing Overview

It was founded in late 2020 by Abdullah Ashraf from Manchester, UK.

Hands Off Publishing Overview

Today, they have over 40 employees and write more than 1,000,000 words per month for their clients worldwide.

Hands Off Publishing is an end-to-end content creation service tailored to publishers, affiliates, and website flippers. I’ve had them do non-blog-related work, and they’ve performed just fine, so I guess that’s their specialty.

They handle your keyword research, content writing, graphics, and website publishing, leaving you with little to no work whatsoever. Unless, of course, you need revisions.

The great thing about working with them is that they offer revisions until you are satisfied, and they’re very flexible on the type of requests, so that’s really helpful.

What Do They Offer?

Here’s a screen grab taken directly from their website:

As you can see, their claims sound interesting.

But do they live up to them? That’s what you’re here to find out, and I’m going to start talking about that in just a moment.

How Does Hands Off Publishing Work?

Their process is very straightforward.

It goes like this:

Step 1: Place an order on their site

Step 2: Fill out the form with maximum detail

Step 3: Let them get to work!

You can watch the video on their home page if you need a visual demonstration of how it works. Here’s a screenshot of the section:

How Does Hands Off Publishing Work

Of course, there’s a little back and forth in between.

For example, if you request complimentary keyword research, you will need to review the topics before they begin writing to ensure there are no repeats on your site or it’s a topic you’d not like to write about.

What Type of Content Do They Produce?

From what I’ve learned by speaking with them and understood from their website, these are the content types they cover:

  • Articles / Blog Posts
  • Product Reviews
  • Affiliate Content
  • About Us Page
  • Case Studies
  • Short E-Books

They cover a wide range of content types, but the best way to find out if they’re a good fit for you is by emailing them or booking a call with them before placing an order.

My Hands Off Publishing Review

Ok, back to what you came here for.

My experience with Hands Off Publishing these last few months has been great. Till now, I’ve ordered 30,000 words with them, and I’ve been able to publish the content quickly after receiving it without having to do much or any work on them.

But even still, I encountered a few potential cons, which are important for me to share with you in this review.

Potential Cons When Working With Them

They are a very fast-growing agency and are in huge demand right now since many blogging and marketing influencers are talking about them. I mean, this review is going up on a site that gets more than 600,000 page views every month.

This growth is mostly responsible for the potential cons I’m sharing with you today:

1. Small Fulfillment Delays

I’ve placed 6 orders with Hands Off Publishing, and 4 of them were delivered before the deadline. However, the last 2 orders were completed 3 to 5 days after the deadline.

The good thing is they kept me updated the entire time. Since they have a fairly small team with respect to the amount of business they are getting, it can make sense that some orders get delayed.

What I like about their service is that they submit content to you in batches. For example, if you order 4 articles, they’ll likely submit 1 to 2 at a time.

This is good because you can review your content as you go along vs. all at once, which can take up a lot of time and get messy.

2. Turn Down Technical Content

They’re not the agency to go to if you’re looking for analytical studies or expert-written content. They explicitly state that they do not employ subject-matter experts.

If you’re after such content, your best case is to hire an individual writer and train them on your requirements.

I kind of appreciate this, as it’s better for them to turn down your order than take your money and deliver subpar content.

3. Not Huge On Product Reviews

I spoke with my content manager recently over at Hands Off Publishing, and he said they’re trying to focus more on delivering informational content these days.

He’s saying that they’re finding informational content much easier to rank as there are more gaps and opportunities. Although they accept product review orders, they will likely suggest other topics if they don’t think they can knock it out of the park for you.

What I Like About Hands Off Publishing

I’ve had a good experience working with them, so naturally, I have some positive things to say. It’s a testament to their claims and hard work.

I’ve worked with many writing agencies and have had all kinds of experiences.

I’ve been burned, and I’ve been blown away.

But my experience with Hands Off Publishing has been blissful!

1. Keep Their Word

They said the service would be hands-off, and it was.

I filled out the order form, and within two working days, they sent back topics for me to review as I requested keyword research. There were two topics I didn’t want to work with, so they swiftly replaced them for me, and I was happy to move forward.

The next time I heard from them, they had two articles ready for me to review.

I was a little nervous to open them.

It’s the worst feeling when something you’ve been looking forward to lets you down.

Luckily, I was impressed. The content was great!

I created a user account for them on my WordPress site. The next day, the content was uploaded with images to my site.

That’s the definition of a smooth experience.

When I need revisions, they promise they’ll be done within three working days. And they always are!

2. Fair Pricing: Hands Off Publishing Review

As I said earlier, I’ve used many writing agencies before, so I know what’s “good value for money” in this business.

Fair Pricing

Although the prices above seem like a lot, they are always running some type of sale where you can get a good discount or get more words for the same amount of money. Also, inside their Client Portal, you’ll find even better deals on bulk and subscription orders.

Finally, if you just want words only and are happy to handle everything else, the pricing is fantastic, as you’ll find inside the Client Portal.

Without saying names, I’ve paid agencies as much as $120 for a 1,000-word article. Now the content wasn’t bad by any means, but after I’ve seen the quality I’m getting with Hands Off Publishing for 4.5-5.5 cents per word, it’s hard to look anywhere else.

I guess the real test is in scaling.

I’m only placing small orders at the moment, but I’d be interested to know how they perform when dealing with much larger orders on a frequent basis.

Time will tell.

3. Amazing Support

Before ordering with them, I was going through the testimonials on their site, and each customer kept praising one thing – their support.

One customer even said, “they give the feeling like I am the only client they have.”

The not-so-surprising thing is that my experience has been nothing less.

It’s super easy to communicate with them as they’ve got a dedicated client portal where you can manage and communicate on all your orders.

You also get a dedicated order manager, and the founder regularly tunes into the chat for quality assurance.

I’ve seen other reviews say the same thing about them. You cannot often communicate directly with the founder of a fast-growing business, but it’s clear that providing a great experience is important to them.

4. In-House Experience

I left the best for last.

Working with them is like having your own in-house team. On a podcast I was watching with the founder, he even says although they’re a remote company, they operate at an in-house standard.

So it makes sense that their customers have the same experience.

All you really need to do when working with them is send some instructions and messages to answer any queries the team has.

Otherwise, they do everything for you!

How To Place An Order With Them

Head over to their website and select or build the right package for you.

Once you’ve paid, you will be asked to create an account inside their client portal (you can create an account for free right now and browse their portal).

Now all you need to do is click ‘start order.’

You will be presented with the order form. Fill this out with maximum information and let them get to work.

My Experience With Hands Off Publishing

Aside from everything I just mentioned, I’d say it’s been a really pleasant experience.

The thing I like most about them is their support. It feels like having your own team.

Their response time is great (typically within 6 hours). They even respond on the weekend, although they don’t work on them and don’t take much time to implement revisions.

As for results, time will tell. The content was indexed right away and has received a good amount of traffic collectively. One notable thing about them is that they are up to date with Google’s policies/updates, which reflects on the content they deliver.

But it’s important to keep in mind that my site already gets a lot of traffic and has good domain authority.

Alternatives To Hands Off Publishing

Here are some good alternatives to Hands Off Publishing that provide a similar service.

I must say that I’ve not been able to find another writing agency as affordable as Hands Off Publishing for the quality they provide.

But when it’s time to scale, time is more important than cost. With that in mind, here are the 3 best alternatives:

Bad Press?

When I first spoke to Abdullah, I mentioned two bad reviews I read on Google about them.

I thought he’d act like he didn’t know about it or respond negatively, but to my surprise, he explained everything to me.

One review turned out to be an affiliate marketer who had never tried their service.

And another was an unhappy customer who Abdullah admitted they delivered a bad service when they started out their agency.

However, he said what you don’t see online is that they tried to resolve this issue for the customer on many occasions, from a refund to content replacement, but they never got a response.

Fair enough. That’s not enough reason for me not to test out a product or service.

Conclusion: Will I Use Them Again?

They’ve reached my good books for sure.

Anytime I need to outsource content, they’ll be the first place I go to. However, I’m always exploring new options as it’s a huge market, and I’m sure I’ll have more writing agency reviews to share with you in the near future.

If you’re trying to grow an affiliate, niche, SAAS, or e-com site with high-quality content and search traffic, I highly recommend you use Hands Off Publishing.

  1. Although the keyword research was quite good, the article they provided was absolutely horrendous; although they are good at offering rewrites, the writer just could not write good articles. It turned out to be quite a nightmare. 🙁
