Bad News for Pakistan Bloggers:WordPress Faces Temporary Ban in Pakistan has been temporarily blocked in Pakistan. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)has reportedly asked the Internet Service Providers across the nation to disable access to the site. Self-hosted WordPress blogs are still working.

News has been released by  Techcrunch. 

The reason for blocking the site hasn’t been confirmed from their side.

The typical reason cited for temporarily blocking or banning these sites is that the content these sources carry are blasphemy and outrageous  in nature.

  1. Hi Jitendra, Thanks for sharing the news. It didn’t came as a surprise to me because in the past. the Pak Government was seen blocking so many sites and TV channels giving the same reason. Lets see what they ban next. :p

        This is a very bad news for pakistani bloggers. Yes, I also have some blogger friends from Pakistan. Their gov should allow such king of things like blogging. Its not a crime. Its a way to make pakistan better. What do you say?
