In a fast-paced conversation with Jitendra Vaswani, AI Creative Expert Matt Wills reveals that we aren’t just witnessing a technological shift—we are in the middle of a productivity revolution. While massive corporate layoffs dominate the headlines, Wills argues that AI is currently a tool for radical augmentation, capable of boosting individual productivity by 10x o anche 100x. For those willing to adapt, he describes this as the “perfect opportunity” to master these tools before they become an absolute imperative.
Wills, the founder of the consultancy Quietly Smart, shares a glimpse into his advanced workflow: he effectively “lives” in Claude Code for iterative development. However, he doesn’t rely on a single model. He advocates a “home base” strategy, typically using ChatGPT to clarify goals and generate high-quality prompts for external tools such as image generators. A standout piece of advice is his dismissal of expensive “prompt packs.”
According to Wills, the best prompter of AI is the AI itself; simply asking a model to write a structured prompt for you yields far superior results. He even employs a “switch” strategy, using one LLM to audit the code produced by another to catch bugs or logical inconsistencies.
Looking ahead to 2026, Wills predicts that while STEM and coding are largely being “solved” by AI, fields like design and video will remain human-centric. Because design requires subjective taste and video currently lacks granular control over timing and framing, the “human in the loop” remains essential. Beyond the tech, Wills emphasizes a grounded business philosophy: “Under-promise and over-deliver” while maintaining radical transparency. Now based in Bangkok, Wills encourages everyone to use AI as a daily conversation partner to define their own future.
