So, hereis a list of things you should learn before you attend your first online GoToMeeting meeting.
Firstly, you can enter the meeting using your laptop, both Mac or Windows, or even using any iOS, Android or Windows tablet and smartphones. This guide will tell you everything on how to participate and join in.
- You will be invited
The email or message to the invitation must provide a connection to the meeting or conference. The invitation will also include all the necessary instructions and guidelines for using the mic of your computer or your phone.This includes both microphone and audio speakers (VoIP) instructions.
- Prepare yourself
Enter the meeting a couple of minutes before commencement to ensure you’ve got everything you require. In case you don’t have the application already, it will immediately download it and you will be brought into the meeting
- Join the meeting
Tap on the link to the online meeting, or go to gotomeeting.com and join using your meeting ID. When your host wants one, make sure the password for the meeting is handy
- Speak and listen
First check the invitation to an online meeting or your Control Panel to access the available audio choices. If you are providing the option to dial-in and would like to use it, call in using the phone number and access code provided. Enter the Audio PIN when supplied.
You may also use the microphone and speakers (VoIP) on your computer. It is recommended to use a USB headset when using this tool for the best possible experience.
- Know who the speaker is
The window at the bottom of the meeting and also the control panel will both show who is speaking. Whenever you talk, attendees can see your name when you are linked to microphones and speakers or when you have dialled in already and filled in your audio PIN.
- Interacting with attendees

- Exit the meeting
Click on the icon at the top of the meeting window when you’re about to leave a meeting (you’ll be asked to confirm you wish to leave).
